Call for Entries:
The Splinter Group of Port Townsend is seeking entries for the annual Woodworkers Show to be held November 5-6, 2016, at the American Legion Hall in Port Townsend. Our purpose is to showcase the diversity of high quality and unique woodwork made by individual craftspeople in our community.
Submissions are sought from furniture makers, cabinetmakers, boat builders, instrument makers, bow makers, turners, carvers and other woodworkers in Port Townsend and adjacent areas for the Port Townsend Woodworkers Show 2016
Your work must be well-crafted original designs. No work from kits or commercially available plans will be accepted. We encourage you to make at least one piece from locally sourced wood, and we will be highlighting these pieces at the show.
The purpose of the show is to increase awareness of the variety of woodwork available in our area. You may leave business cards but we strongly recommend that you be present to sell your own work. We will not be selling your work for you. No commission will be taken on work sold.
Show hours are Saturday November 5, 2016, from 11 am to 8 pm (to coincide with the Gallery Walk) and Sunday November 6 from 11 am to 3 pm.
If your work is not self supporting, you will need to provide a support. If you need more than a space 5’ x 5’ please contact us to see if we have room. Wall space is available in some booths.
This year we are asking  exhibitors to deliver and set up their work Friday November 4th between 2 - 7:00pm.
If you can’t deliver your work on Friday please plan on delivering it between 7:00am and 10:00am on Saturday Nov 5th. You will need  to be fully set up by 10:00am.  Pick up your work on Sunday November 6th between 3pm and 5pm.
Space is limited so please fill out an application as soon as possible.
New for 2016: To simplify the selection of entrants and to ensure ample time to get the posters onto Ferries we have changed the fee structure and have a single entry deadline.
The entry fee of $60 per entrant will help cover advertising and costs. Entries are due by September 1, 2016.
