The Splinter Group is seeking submissions for the Port Townsend Woodworkers' Show 2010. Our purpose is to showcase the diversity of high quality and unique woodwork made by craftspeople in our community. The show will be held at the American Legion Hall in Port Townsend on the first weekend in November.
Entries are sought from furniture makers, boat builders, instrument makers, bow makers, turners and carvers in Port Townsend and nearby areas. Submissions should be well crafted original designs. No work from kits or commercially available plans will be accepted. Also no work shown in prior shows – we're trying to keep the show fresh.
You will need to deliver and set up your work Friday November 5th between 2pm and 7pm and pick up your work on November 7th between 3pm and 5pm.
Show hours are Saturday November 6th from 11am to 8 pm (to coincide with the Port Townsend Gallery Walk) and Sunday November 7th from 11am to 3pm.
Space is limited so please fill out an application as soon as possible. We are more interested in you intention to take part in the show than the specific items you will display.
We're simplifying things year - there will be just a single entry fee ($35). This fee helps cover advertising and costs plus you get a simple listing on the show website.
Applications maybe submitted at anytime before the show until the closing date on October 1st 2010. We distribute printed application forms by mail to prior participants and for pickup at Edensaw starting in August. All entries will be confirmed.
